Data Science Specialist

Required Travel :Minimal Managerial - No Location: :India- Pune (Amdocs Site) ## In one sentence We are looking for a Data Scientist Specialist to join the Agent Optimization team. In this role, you will be the technical authority on refining agentic behavior, prompt engineering conventions, and multi-agent/ orchestration. ## All you need is... Must Have * Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading technical teams or complex AI projects from research to production. * AI/ML Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Deep Learning, with at least 2 years' experience in Generative AI and LLM technologies. * Agentic Frameworks: Hands-on experience building and optimizing agentic workflows using libraries like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks. * Software Engineering: Strong Python skills and familiarity with production-grade practices like CI/CD, containerization (Docker), Git and comfortable operating in a cloud environment. * Production Focus: Demonstrated experience owning the full ML lifecycle, including evaluation strategies, monitoring, and post-production iteration. * Strong Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders in fluent English. Strong Advantage * Telco Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific challenges of the telco industry (BSS/OSS systems, customer interaction analytics). * Cloud Proficiency: Practical experience with GCP (Vertex AI, GKE) or similar cloud-based ML infrastructure. ## What will your job look like? * Lead & Mentor: Manage a specialized team of DS/ML engineers, fostering a culture of curiosity, technical excellence, and continuous learning. * Agentic Optimization: Design and implement highly optimized agentic workflows using frameworks like LangGraph, focusing on state management and tool-use efficiency. * Performance Tuning: Refine prompt engineering strategies and multi-agent orchestration to improve agent accuracy and reduce latency in production environments. * Standardize ADLC: Construct and promote best practices for developing agentic solutions, including standardized prompting conventions and agentic feedback loops. * Research to Production: Translate the latest developments in Generative AI into production-ready features optimized for telco-specific use cases. * Collaboration: Work with data scientists and engineers to translate experimental models into robust, testable, and maintainable production code. * Technical Ownership: Own the end-to-end refinement of agentic pipelines, from initial feature engineering through to post-production iteration. ## Why you will love this job: * You will lead a team working on the "zero-to-one" frontier of agentic AI within a global tech leader. * You will have a direct impact on the performance of AI products used by the world’s largest telco operators. * You will operate at the intersection of leadership and cutting-edge engineering, with the autonomy to define the standards for agent optimization. ## Who are we?
