We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning, operational finance, and accounting processes for our direct-to-consumer e-commerce business. This role will partner closely with teams across marketing, merchandising, and operations to provide financial insights while also supporting month-end close and vendor payment processes.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and e-commerce performance metrics.
Support the monthly financial close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reporting packages
Analyze variances versus budget and prior periods and provide explanations to leadership
Work with businesses to ensure revenue, returns, fulfillment, and marketing expenses are accurately recorded
Develop weekly and monthly business/vendor performance reports
Prepare executive presentations summarizing financial performance and business drivers
Assist with Accounts Payable management, including payment scheduling and vendor inquiries
Review and process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approval workflows
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Perform ad-hoc analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
At least 1-2 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods
Familiarity with accounting principles and month-end close processes; experience with Quickbooks is a plus
Strong knowledge of Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, data analysis)
Skill in organization, analysis, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks.
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience with performance metrics and warehouse management systems
