Research & Development Co-op - Bench Testing, New Ventures, Vascular, MedSurg

Cook Research Incorporated is currently accepting applications for the Research & Development Co-op positions in our New Ventures, Bench Testing, Vascular, and MedSurg teams. We are interested in individuals with backgrounds in science, engineering, business, health care and marketing that are passionate about bringing new therapies to patients. Co-ops in this position will work with a mentor who will advise them through assessing clinical, technology, and business needs to provide recommendations for new technology investments. Co-ops will assume responsibility for collecting, organizing, and presenting their research and contributing to team projects.

• Follow procedures pertinent to tasks being performed• Ensure accurate and complete documentation• Provide support to other team members upon request and where reasonable• Learn quickly about previous research, project objectives, and project deliverables• Work with mentor and/or other team members to define tasks• Coordinate resources to meet project needs and deadlines

• Upper-level undergraduate student or Spring Graduate• Conscientious person with good work ethic• Understand and accept requests with an “I can help you” attitude• Teachable, positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn• Personal discipline• Excellent organizational skills• Willingness to help• Ability to work with multiple persons and the multiple priorities that occur when each person has different needs• Extreme attention to detail

• Students must be enrolled in a program that requires practical training as part of its established curiculum. 

• Students requiring additional authorization must coordinate through their instituation's international student office to secure evidence of eligibility.
