Status: FLSA Non-Exempt, Full-time 37.5-40 hrs weekly
Compensation: $27-$28/ hr plus shift premium
Job Description Summary:
The Shift Supervisor at Amphenol Industrial is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities during their assigned shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. He/She will coordinate with Production Supervisor to provide direct, hands-on leadership to hourly production employees, support production goals, and help maintain smooth workflow on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of hourly production employees during assigned shifts to ensure safe and efficient operations
Train, coach, and support team members to enhance performance, skills, attendance, and engagement.
Maintain accurate shift records, including production data, attendance, and incident reports
Review and approve employee timesheets, attendance records, and time-off requests in accordance with company policies.
Communicate and coordinate with management, maintenance, and supply chain teams to address production needs and resolve issues
May be required to help fill in vacancies to not impact the production schedule.
Safety & Quality Responsibilities
Enforce safety policies and conduct routine safety checks to maintain a safe work environment
Ensure adherence to quality standards and promptly address defects or production issues
Operations Responsibilities
Monitor daily production activities to meet output, quality, and schedule requirements
Assist with shift start-ups, changeovers, and shutdown procedures to minimize downtime
Respond quickly to production issues, escalating more complex problems to management when needed
Reporting & Continuous Improvement Responsibilities
Track and report production metrics such as output, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency
Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required (associate or technical degree preferred)
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
Core Competencies
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations
Understanding of safety practices and OSHA guidelines
Basic knowledge of quality standards and inspection processes
Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement (hands-on application preferred)
Ability to troubleshoot issues and make quick, sound decisions during a shift
Proficiency in basic computer systems (timekeeping, production reporting, Microsoft Office)
Ability to stand, walk, and be active on the production floor for extended periods
