Our law firm client based in Los Angeles is seeking a senior tax attorney with 7+ years of experience to join its Taxation, Trusts & Estates practice. This is a senior-level opportunity with flexibility on location with the either of 3 offices listed and no requirement for a portable book of business.
The role is designed for an experienced tax attorney who can contribute to sophisticated client matters while also playing a key role in mentoring junior attorneys and helping shape the continued growth and strategic direction of the practice group.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Advise individuals and corporate clients on complex tax matters related to corporate and partnership transactions
- →Provide tax structuring and planning advice for strategic and private equity M&A transactions
- →Support domestic and international tax planning initiatives
- →Advise on private equity fund formation, capital markets transactions, financings, and restructurings
- →Collaborate across practice groups on high-stakes transactional matters
- →Mentor and develop junior attorneys within the Taxation, Trusts & Estates group
- →Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the practice
Requirements
~1 min read- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant tax law experience
- Strong background in sophisticated corporate, partnership, and transactional tax matters
- Experience in private equity, M&A, fund formation, or capital markets tax structuring preferred
- Large law firm training strongly preferred
- LL.M. in Taxation preferred
- Strong analytical, drafting, and client advisory skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple practice areas
- Must be a licensed Attorney in the State of California
- Can work out of any of these office Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Francisco
