We're looking for a motivated Geophysicist to join our Austin team to perform geophysical fieldwork, assist with project reporting, and help maintain high-quality standards within our Geophysical Group. The title and compensation associated with the position will be dependent upon the candidate’s level of experience. Opportunities also exist to work across other divisions within the company outside of core responsibilities.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in engineering or environmental consulting
- MS in Geophysics, Geological Sciences, or Civil Engineering
- Experience with geophysical field work, ideally including electrical resistivity and seismic methods
- Working knowledge of geophysical data processing software such as EarthImager, SurfSEIS/ParkSEIS, SeisImager, etc
- Experience with geotechnical (or other) field work and analyses
- Experience using GPS (Trimble) equipment and software
- Experience with QGIS
- Attained GIT/EIT designation or PG/PE license (or working toward licensure)
- Project management training and experience
- Active participation in professional and community societies
- Regular hours (8am – 5pm) while in the office
- Flexible schedule for field travel, including weekends and irregular hours
- Regular out-of-state travel throughout the lower 48 States for specific projects
