Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Journeyman Electricians to support the North Texas VA Medical Center located at 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216. Shift schedule will typically be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Maintain and repair electrical systems throughout a hospital environment.
- →Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and testing instruments.
- →Repair and maintain:
- →Motors
- →HVAC electrical components
- →Alarm systems
- →Medical and laboratory equipment
- →Lighting systems
- →Switchgear
- →Transformers
- →Emergency power systems and infrastructure
- →Install, modify, and repair electrical circuits and conduit systems.
- →Perform preventive maintenance on motors, controls, and electrical equipment.
- →Ensure all work complies with:
- →National Electrical Code (NEC)
- →OSHA standards
- →VA safety requirements
- →Industry standards
- →Work independently with minimal supervision.
- →May provide direction to helpers or support personnel.
- →Operate safely around high-voltage systems up to 4,160 volts AC.
- →Report daily to the VA COR for work assignments and updates.
- →Complete daily service reports documenting:
- →Tasks completed
- →Preventive maintenance performed
- →Equipment serviced
- →Parts replaced
- →Additional repairs needed
- →Technicians performing the work
- →Complete daily timecards for all services performed
Requirements
~1 min read- Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License (copy required).
- OSHA Certification
- Frequent physical exertion.
- Heavy lifting and carrying.
- Work indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to work:
- In cramped spaces
- At elevated heights
- Around electrical hazards including shock and burn risks.
- Contractors must provide and wear:
- Arc-rated or natural fiber long-sleeve shirts and long pants
- OSHA-approved steel-toe boots
- Hearing protection
- Eye protection
- No sponsorship available
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
