AOI is looking for a relationship-driven, highly organized HR professional to join our People Growth & Development team as a People Support Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and learning & development while building strong relationships across the organization.


What You'll Do

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and attract top talent.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer preparation, and pre-employment activities.
  • Build strong talent pipelines through networking, career fairs, industry associations, and community partnerships.
  • Deliver an exceptional onboarding experience by coordinating new hire orientation, first-day logistics, HRIS documentation, and seamless transitions into department training.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Assist with employee benefits and employee education while serving as a resource for benefits-related questions.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource by supporting employees and leaders with learning and development initiatives, employee training, and special projects that strengthen organizational culture.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with strong involvement in talent acquisition, HRIS administration, onboarding, and employee development.
  • Experience coordinating full-cycle recruiting and building successful hiring partnerships with leaders.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits administration and HR best practices.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Construction industry experience preferred.
