Full Stack Ruby On Rails Developer

Aoka is seeking a skilled Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer to join the VertexPlans development team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building high-quality, scalable web applications. You will work on a mix of expanding our existing software, squashing bugs, optimizing the current architecture, and independently spearheading the development of brand-new products and features from inception to deployment.

  Independently design, build, and deploy new features and products from start to finish.

  Maintain and optimize existing Ruby on Rails web applications and backend services/APIs.

  Continuously work on bettering the existing system architecture, ensuring code quality, and optimizing website performance.

  Partner closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to deliver seamless, user-centric features.

  Implement secure and reliable third-party integrations, specifically focusing on payment gateways.

  Write and maintain comprehensive automated tests (both frontend and backend) to ensure long-term stability.

  Efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system bugs.
  
   

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of professional full-stack Ruby on Rails web development experience.

• Strong, deep proficiency in Ruby on Rails.

• Deep understanding of CSS and responsive design principles.

• High proficiency with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
