Line Locating Assistant

Apex Geomatics is currently seeking a Line Locating Assistant to join our growing operations team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals with previous oilfield experience who are eager to learn, develop new skills, and grow into a future Line Locate Technician role.

This position is based in the Squamish, BC area and operates on a 6 days on / 1 day off schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with and take direction from the Line Locate Technician.
• Participate fully in Apex Geomatics’ Health and Safety Program.
• Follow quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Assist with daily field documentation and reporting.
• Represent Apex Geomatics professionally and respectfully when interacting with clients and team members.

• Work safely in remote environments with potential wildlife exposure.
• Perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying terrain and weather conditions.
• Travel frequently and work extended hours as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Previous industry experience or post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required.
• This is a safety-sensitive position and candidates must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol screening.
