JOB TITLE: QA & QC Officer
RESPONSIBLE TO: Quality Assurance/Control Manager
MAIN LOCATION: Suzhou, China
Objective:
The QA/QC/Sourcing Officer is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance throughout the sourcing and production process. This role manages supplier quality, conducts inspections and audits, and supports sourcing activities to ensure products meet company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Quality Control & Product Sourcing (Especially on Gift & Premium)
- Conduct incoming, in‑process, and final inspections according to AQL or customer specifications
- Review and approve samples, pre‑production samples, and golden samples
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, corrective action reports (CAPA), and quality records
- Follow up on non‑conformities, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Ensure products comply with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve product consistency
Supplier Quality Management
- Evaluate and qualify new suppliers based on quality, capability, and compliance
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (defect rate, on‑time delivery, responsiveness, etc.)
- Communicate quality expectations clearly to suppliers and ensure implementation
Sourcing Support
- Assist in supplier sourcing and development, including RFQs, sample evaluation, and trial orders
- Coordinate with suppliers on materials, lead times, production schedules, and quality requirements
- Support cost, quality, and risk comparisons during sourcing decisions
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Work closely with merchandising, production, engineering, logistics, and sales teams
- Liaise with third‑party inspection agencies when required
- Support customer audits, factory visits, and quality investigations
Essential Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC and/or sourcing (factory or trading company background preferred)
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of quality control standards (AQL, ISO 9001 preferred)
- Experience with factory inspections, audits, and supplier management
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs
- Familiar with manufacturing processes and materials understanding (customize: plastics / metal / textiles / electronics, etc.)
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills with suppliers
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Well‑organized with good documentation discipline
Language & Other Requirements
- Good command of English and Chinese (Mandarin)
- Willingness to travel to factories when required
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
