Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities Technically lead and/or execute engineering projects, including development of key suppliers Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of complex electrical/electronics problems with limited to no supervision Specify the development of design or modify engineering assemblies, layout/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of complex scope Interfaces with internal and external customers regarding complex electrical issues for specific projects Implement concepts for wide range of complex product issues and solutions Generate product specifications with limited to no supervision Specify and/or perform engineering analysis of complex scope Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports Functional Knowledge * In-depth skills of Analog & Digital circuit design using ADC, DAC, Op-amps, Transistors, MOSFETS, Sensors, Signal Conditioning circuits, microcontroller/ Microprocessor, Memories, Various communication interfaces (I2C,SPI, RS485,Ethernet), IOT platforms * Experience with designs using Industrial IO modules, industrial controllers (PLC), PID controllers, Industrial bus protocols(Ethercat, Devicenet ) etc. * Experience in developing detailed schematics and schematic capture using CAD tools. * Electronic circuit modeling & simulation. * Worked on projects from requirement to final product release (circuit design, prototyping and testing) and maintenance. * Hand on experience on testing tools(DSO,DMM,FG, electronic loads etc.), , circuit validation, board bring up , functional testing , trouble shooting, Failure analysis . * Expertise on PCB design process, Technical document writing ​ Business Expertise * Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services Leadership * May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity Problem Solving * Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions Impact * Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies Interpersonal Skills * Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view Good to have skills: · Knowledge in product certification process (Handle testing at EMC/ Safety) labs is preferred. * Expertise with FW development with C, C++ , Python etc , FPGA &CPLD programming, * Knowledge in Documentation, release process , Reliability testing, * Obsolescence process, Customer support for field issues, Interact with suppliers ## Qualifications ### Education: Bachelor's Degree ### Skills ### Certifications: ### Languages: ### Years of Experience: 7 - 10 Years ### Work Experience: ## Additional Information ### ### Shift: Day (India) ### ### Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time ### ### Relocation Eligible: Yes ### Referral Payment Plan: Employee Referral (Standard) Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
