We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to lead and oversee the company’s accounting operations across geographies of operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, accurate and timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and scalable accounting processes to support the company’s growth.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Consistently achieve accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles
- Improve close timelines while maintaining high reporting accuracy
- Ensure clean and audit-ready financial statements at all times
- Maintain compliance with applicable local statutory requirements
- Zero major audit findings or regulatory non-compliance issues
- Timely completion of statutory, tax, and external audit requirements across all entities
- Strengthen internal controls and reduce operational/accounting risk exposure
- Establish and maintain scalable accounting policies and governance frameworks
- Improve efficiency and standardization of accounting processes across entities
- Drive automation and NetSuite optimization initiatives to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
- Ensure strong balance sheet hygiene, reconciliations, and cash management discipline
- Improve visibility and reliability of financial data for leadership decision-making
- Build strong credibility with executive leadership, auditors, investors, and cross-functional teams
- Provide proactive accounting guidance on business decisions, contracts, and operational changes
- Support scalability of the organization through robust accounting infrastructure and processes
- Build a high-performing accounting organization with strong ownership and accountability
- Develop team capability in US GAAP, compliance, and global accounting practices
- Drive operational rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function
- Enable readiness for future scale, investor diligence, or strategic transactions
- Reduce financial and compliance risk while supporting business growth objectives
- Establish accounting operations that can efficiently support a global and growing organization
- Proven experience in a senior accounting leadership role such as VP – Accounting, Controller, or Head of Accounting
- Strong expertise in US GAAP and experience managing accounting operations for US entities from India
- Solid understanding of Indian accounting standards, statutory compliance, and taxation requirements
- Experience handling global audits, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting environments
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, financial reporting, and accounting best practices
- Experience working in high-growth technology or SaaS organizations preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable accounting processes and lead geographically distributed teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership
- High attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and problem-solving orientation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA / CPA preferred
- Proven track record in applying U.S. ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, including leadership of compliance, governance, and implementation across multinational operations
