Adaptability: Quickly adjust to new situations, evolving claim scenarios, and emerging technologies - embracing change, learning new tools, and applying them effectively to improve claim outcomes and workflow efficiency.
CAT Claims Support: During high CAT claim volumes, step in to manage new, low-complexity claims.
End-to-End Resolution: Handle claims from inception to resolution, investigating loss circumstances, applying coverage accurately, and working within assigned authority levels.
Coverage Expertise: Review and determine proper policy coverages, resolving claims per company guidelines.
Fraud Detection: Identify fraud and recovery opportunities.
Vendor Management: Engage and monitor the work of outside vendors in the claim adjustment process.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and unfair Claim Practice Acts.
At least 1-3 years of homeowner and/or commercial property. Liability claims experience is also a plus.
Applicable state adjuster license where required and in good standing.
Functional knowledge of claims handling concepts, practices, and techniques, including coverage issues and product line knowledge.
Knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions.
Advanced experience adopting and using new software and tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Xactimate and/or Cotality experience: Highly preferred.
Flexibility: Able to work extended hours due to weather-related events.
