Sr. Supply Chain Planner
Quick Summary
Arcaea is building a new ingredient toolset for the beauty and personal care industry – one rooted in biotechnology with the aim of delivering radical performance and unparalleled sustainability that will also present new opportunities for storytelling.
We're looking for a Senior Supply Chain Planner to own end-to-end inventory strategy across Arcaea's two consumer brands. This role suits someone who can operate as a builder and a partner. Reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain and Operations, you’ll build processes from the ground up, including our Sales & Operations Planning process and NetSuite as a true system of record, alongside a small team equally focused on streamlining, standardizing, and building systems that scale. As the connective tissue across teams, you'll translate forecasts and production plans into a planning function built on discipline and data.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Design and own Arcaea's monthly S&OP process, aligning demand forecasts, supply plans, and inventory targets across both brands
- Facilitate the monthly S&OP meeting with commercial, finance, and operations leadership, surfacing deviations, risks, and trade-off decisions before they become problems
- Own demand analysis and convert it into production plans that meet forecast demand
- Serve as the team's NetSuite subject matter expert, owning item master, BOM, and planning for raw materials, components, and finished goods
- Own end-to-end item setup, including UPC generation and BOM creation, ensuring 100% system data integrity at all times
- Maintain accurate lead times, batch sizes, safety stock targets, and reorder points
- Ensure inventory flows between NetSuite and Shopify are optimized; own the escalation process with consulting team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Own SKU and UPC checks in the PageProof artwork routing process
- Provide Shopify reporting as needed
- Own the inventory budget across both brands, forecasting inventory investment and tracking actuals against targets
- Partner with Finance on a recurring cadence to review and approve inventory write-offs and reserves, ensuring accurate, audit-ready books
- Report on inventory health, aging, excess & obsolete stock, and out-of-stock risk to Operations and Finance leadership
- Work closely with Logistics Manager on cycle counting and year physical inventory maintaining a 99.9% inventory accuracy KPI
- Own the yearly obsolete inventory destruction process, determining timing and P&L impact with the broader team
- Build cost models for new product launches to ensure margin targets are met, and maintain margin records across all products
- Investigate margin issues in the monthly P&L review and build the narrative behind any challenges
- Negotiate with new and existing suppliers to establish competitive contracts and agreements
- Attend weekly supplier meetings
- Own the monthly buy cycle, including sign-off on all planning-related spend
- Coordinate detailed production schedules with third-party contract manufacturers, providing hands-on support through pilot runs, scale-ups, and material purchasing to keep production on schedule

- Act as the connective tissue between brand teams, operations, finance, and manufacturing partners
- Represent supply chain planning in cross-brand launch planning and post-launch retrospectives
- Take on ad hoc reporting as needed
- Support in-office logistics tasks (shipping, receiving) as part of a lean, hands-on team
- 7+ years of experience in a supply chain planning role, ideally supporting multiple brands or business units
- Hands-on NetSuite expertise across planning, inventory, and purchasing modules, with comfort owning configuration, not just using it
- Experience designing or running a formal S&OP process
- Strong financial acumen with experience partnering with Finance on budgets, write-offs, and inventory accounting
- Excellent Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Comfortable building processes and systems from the ground up, and equally comfortable doing it in close partnership with Finance, Logistics, and brand teams
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills, with the discipline to manage multiple brands and projects simultaneously and keep accurate records
- APICS, CPIM, CPM, or CPSM certification a plus
- Startup or high growth consumer goods experience preferred
