Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Responsibilities

→Develop the onboard perception stack, fusing camera, lidar, and radar data for object detection, tracking, and precision landing capabilities
→Design and implement deep-learning and classical computer vision algorithms for real-time, embedded deployment
→Perform sensor calibration and multi-sensor fusion across camera, lidar, and radar
→Optimize perception algorithms for real-time performance on embedded compute
→Analyze test data to characterize and improve perception performance
→Collaborate with navigation, controls, and hardware teams to integrate perception outputs into the broader system

Requirements

Strong background in computer vision and/or machine learning, with a degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
Proficiency in C++ and Python
Experience with deep-learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorRT) and classical CV (OpenCV)
Experience processing lidar and/or radar point-cloud data
Experience with sensor calibration and multi-sensor fusion
Demonstrated ability to take algorithms from concept through real-time, embedded deployment

Experience deploying perception models on NVIDIA Jetson / CUDA-based embedded platforms
Experience with precision or automated landing systems
Background in subscale aircraft, robotics, or vehicle perception
