Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, an independent Catholic college preparatory high school in the Holy Cross Tradition, is seeking a Personal Financial Literacy & Computing Teacher at various academic levels. Job Summary:

Rooted in Cathedral's Holy Cross tradition, the Personal Financial Responsibility & Computing Foundations Teacher provides practical instruction that prepares
students with the financial literacy and technology skills needed for college, careers, and everyday life. Planning and delivering instruction that aligns with the curriculum and supports critical thinking, problem-solving, encourages ethical decision-making, responsible use of technology, helping students apply classroom learning to practical, real-world experiences. In this position, you will work closely with colleagues, communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress, and demonstrate an
unwavering commitment to academic excellence and to an education that promotes intellectual growth, curiosity, personal responsibility, while supporting Cathedral's mission and vision.

Qualifications:

As a Cathedral educator, you must be willing to transform the hearts and minds of all our students. Serving as the subject-matter expert, who maintains high
academic standards and professional conduct while providing instruction that advances measurable student achievements.

This is a full-time, 10-month salaried-exempt position, not subject to overtime pay. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 3:45 p.m.,
with office hours beginning at 8:00 a.m. From time to time, the role may require a variable schedule to meet the needs of the position and to support school
activities.

Education and/or Experience:

● Valid Indiana teaching license or the ability to obtain licensure.
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Information Technology, Finance, or a closely related field.
● Coursework or professional experience in computer science, programming, cyber security is preferred but not required.
● Knowledgeable teaching financial literacy, personal finance, business, or computer science coursework at the secondary level.
● Proficiency with instructional technology and mathematics curriculum development.
● Experienced with integrating technology into daily instruction.
● Strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administrators.
● Familiarity with Mac laptops/desktops, PowerSchool, and Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Gmail, Chrome) preferred, or a willingness
to learn.
● Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Plan and deliver instruction in Personal Financial Responsibility and Computing Foundations that aligns with state standards and school curriculum.
● Develop lesson plans, projects, assessments, and classroom activities that connect course content to real-world situations.
● Teach personal finance topics including budgeting, banking, credit, debt management, investing, taxes, insurance, consumer decision-making, and
financial planning.
● Teach foundational computing concepts such as digital citizenship, computer systems, productivity applications, introductory programming concepts,
data, cybersecurity awareness, and responsible technology use.
● Differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs of individual students.
● Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback.
● Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assignments, and student progress using the school's student information system.
● Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress, classroom expectations, and opportunities for improvement.
● Establish classroom expectations that promote respect, accountability, and active participation.
● Work with colleagues to support student achievement and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
● Participate in faculty meetings, department meetings, professional development, retreats, liturgies, and other required school activities.
● Supervise students during assigned duties, activities, or events.
● Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with school policy and applicable laws.
● Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee.
