Who We Are:

At melin we believe that with more thought, time and care invested into how we make our products that we can actually extend the life of our hats and the adventures we take them on. We are looking to expand our internal family and are seeking one incredible human, capable of excellence in a fast-paced work environment and eager to join an elite, yet small team of “A players”.

Job Description

At melin, a Performance Creative Specialist isn't someone who just runs and reports numbers. It's someone who sees a low CTR as a creative solution and gets excited to solve it. That's who we're looking for.

This role sits at the intersection of craft and performance. You'll own the paid social creative

loop channels such as: Meta, TikTok, and Google/YouTube, building content that upholds melin's premium

standard while being ruthlessly informed by what the data is telling you. Build the asset, read

the metrics, figure out what isn't connecting in the first few seconds, and bring a creative

solution before the week is out.

You'll work directly with Performance Marketing team to understand performance goals, then translate

those goals into creative executions that actually move people. The data is the brief. Your job is

to answer it creatively.

This role is not about brand films, cinematic storytelling, or conceptual creative with no interest

in how it performs. We have a team for that. If the idea of iterating on a hook 10 different ways

sounds tedious rather than interesting, this probably isn't the right fit.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following

  • Own the paid social creative iteration loop across paid channels such as: Meta, TikTok, and Google, etc. Hook variations, CTAs, formats, and overlays based on live performance data.
  • Run a fast test-and-learn cycle. Launch, read the metrics, find what broke, re-cut. Outputting multiple rounds per week.
  • Work directly with the Performance Marketing team to turn ROAS, CPA, and creative fatigue signals into new assets. The data tells you what to build next.
  • Execute post-production for video and static formats with proper platform specs in mind: safe zones, aspect ratios, file sizes, and compression.
  • Build TikTok content that feels native to the platform without losing what makes melin melin.
  • Keep up with platform changes across Meta, TikTok, and Google. Format shifts, algorithm updates, what's actually performing right now. Bring that into weekly decisions.
  • Keep a clean, versioned asset library. The team should always know what's live, what's being tested, and what's been retired.
  • Use Figma for static ad layout, resizing, and file exports alongside video work

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years in paid social creative or performance marketing. In-house DTC brand or performance agency preferred. If your background is primarily production or film editing, this probably isn't the right role.
  • You know your way around Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Business Center, and Google Ads.
  • Expert-level Adobe Premiere and After Effects for rapid video editing and motion graphics.
  • Working proficiency in Figma for digital layout and file exports.
  • You can explain a creative decision using hook rate or thumb-stop rate, not just how it looks.
  • Thrives in a high-output environment. The content cadence here is aggressive and growing.
  • Sharp operational habits. You catch the wrong crop, the stale end card, or the out-of-spec file before it goes live.
  • You understand the art and science behind performance creative. You can talk creative with a creative director and talk numbers with an e-commerce manager.
  • Passion for premium products, brand building, and the melin brand.
