Custodial Worker

The Arc Chemung-Schuyler is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our janitorial work crew. Team members provide cleaning services for a variety of commercial and government contracts in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As a Janitorial Crew Member, you will work alongside other staff to complete cleaning assignments efficiently and professionally. Candidates must be able to work independently when needed and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Hours vary depending on current contractual obligations.
High school diploma preferred.

• →Work as part of a team to complete cleaning jobs within allotted timeframes
• →Perform duties with minimal direct supervision
• →Follow Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and other regulatory guidelines
• →Adhere to all The Arc Chemung-Schuyler policies and procedures
• →Safely use and maintain knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and tools
• →Operate cleaning-related machines and equipment
• →Follow agency safety policies and immediately report concerns to supervisors
• →Attend required agency and outside trainings
• →Perform additional duties as assigned

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restrictions
• Ability to operate cleaning-related machinery
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods with minimal breaks
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work well with others
