The Maintenance Superintendent is accountable for providing strategic and tactical leadership overseeing the deployment and development of all areas under their control in a safe and productive environment. Areas to include but not limited to, the maintenance ops leaders, maintenance crews, and maintenance planning / scheduling. Along with providing direction to effectively implement, execute, and maintain maintenance systems for their area, the Superintendent safely leads the maintenance team and fosters the use of tools such as REX, CMMS, PMO, Predictive and Preventative techniques.
Model and ensure all safety, environmental, and quality procedures are followed at all times. This includes making sure the team follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety rules and regulations. This includes ensuring the compliance of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards (HP, audits, housekeeping) for Maintenance areas.
- Engage team members utilizing Arconic Supervisory Excellence (ASE) principles and Human and Organizational Performance principles (HOP).
- Ensure team performance goals are aligned to department business objectives and communicated to the team.
- Contribute, monitor and ensure progress of maintenance team members in skill development areas. This includes analyzing maintenance metrics, bad actors, and maintenance downtime data for trends and opportunities for problem-solving and waste elimination.
Oversee assigned work to ensure it is executed to achieve performance to plan and schedule PM and REX compliance targets.
- Ensure compliance with environmental policies and safety requirement. This includes ASAT, LTT, and SMACT Reporting.
- Develop and advocate for short term and long term rebuild schedules for all large machine components which includes developing the CAPEX maintenance needs with prioritization.
- Monitor Department expenses and takes action to maintain costs within budgetary guidelines.
- Support assigned area off shift as necessary.
You have: (required)
Minimum 7 years of industrial maintenance experience or reliability engineering or a combination of a degree with industrial maintenance experience (an Associate’s degree in related technical field with 5 years of industrial maintenance/reliability experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 3 years of industrial maintenance/reliability engineering experience)
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
Minimum 2 years of project management experience
Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Large Industrial/Metals Manufacturing experience preferred
