• →Develop applications to include user interfaces, workflows, and APIs supporting DHS geospatial systems.
• →Design, build, and maintain applications that integrate with geospatial data platforms, databases, and enterprise systems.
• →Support development and maintenance of geospatial applications across cloud and on-premise environments.
• →Develop and maintain scripts and automated workflows to support data processing, validation, and integration.
• →Support integration of geospatial data services, including REST-based services and APIs.
• →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate mission and business requirements into technical solutions.
• →Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• →Participate in system design, development, and implementation activities across the software development lifecycle.
• →Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of geospatial applications and tools.
• →Ensure compliance with DHS standards, security requirements, and system architecture guidelines.
• →Contribute to documentation including system design, development processes, and application functionality.

Requirements: 

• →Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• →3+ years of experience in application development.
• →Experience developing applications including user interfaces, workflows, and APIs.
• →Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
• →Experience working with APIs and integrating REST-based services.
• →Experience supporting geospatial or data-driven applications and systems.
• →Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including testing and deployment.
• →Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• →Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• →Experience supporting federal government or DHS programs.
• →Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS or other geospatial platforms.
• →Experience working in cloud environments and integrating applications with cloud-based data platforms.
• →Experience with scripting and automation for data processing workflows.
• →Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
