Job Summary
The Master Scheduler will be a strategic planner who creates and manages the Master Production Schedule (MPS). They will provide guidance to the Production Planner. Additional duties will include aligning customer demand with manufacturing capacity, materials, and inventory to ensure on‑time, cost‑efficient production. Drive coordination across sales, procurement, production, logistics, and quality to maintain smooth operations and prevent bottlenecks. Produce progress reports and encourage IPT’s to reach operational targets, all while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities
Master Production Schedule (MPS) Management

Develop, maintain, and communicate a forward‑looking MPS aligned with business plans and customer orders.
Convert demand forecasts into detailed production schedules considering constraints and lead times.

Capacity & Resource Planning

Analyze labor, machine, and tooling capacity to identify bottlenecks.
Plan overtime, additional shifts, or resource adjustments when needed.

Materials & Inventory Coordination

Work with purchasing to ensure material availability.
Monitor raw material and WIP inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Lead weekly scheduling meetings with sales, production, procurement, and logistics.
Communicate delivery dates and manage customer expectations.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track schedule adherence, cycle times, and delivery performance.
Generate analytical reports on production performance.

Risk & Issue Management

Identify scheduling conflicts or resource constraints.
Implement mitigation plans and adjust schedules as needed.

Continuous Improvement
Implement best practices and lean principles to improve scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate production schedules with both customers and production supervision to ensure shipments are made in accordance with contractual commitments
Monitor schedules against sales commitments and provide timely feedback to management of any potential issues
Maintain data in LN ERP System in a timely manner
Provide feedback to Material Management, Contracts, Program Management, and Operations Management on customer, internal schedules and material issues
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies

Qualifications

5 plus years of material inventory and scheduling experience in a Defense or Aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.
Must possess good Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
MRP experience in LN, SAP, Oracle, Power BI (LN is preferred).
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and deal with people effectively.
Ability to take ownership and drive change.
