About the role

We're looking for an experienced Python Backend Engineer to build AI-powered document solutions using Microsoft Azure. You'll develop scalable backend services, integrate Azure AI technologies, and help modernise our cloud platform.
 

• →Develop and maintain Python backend services.
• →Build AI-powered document solutions including search, Q&A, summarisation and RAG.
• →Develop solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and Azure Cognitive Services.
• →Integrate Azure Service Bus, Blob Storage and other Azure services.
• →Implement secure AI solutions, including prompt protection and managed identities.
• →Work within GitHub using pull requests, code reviews and CI workflows.
• →Support platform improvements through refactoring and service decoupling.

Requirements

• →Strong commercial experience with Python backend development.
• →Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• →Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search or Azure Cognitive Services.
• →Experience building AI or document processing solutions.
• →Experience with GitHub and collaborative development.
• →Good understanding of cloud security and secure APIs.
• →Experience working within larger codebases.​​​​​​​

Nice to Have

• →GitHub Actions or CI/CD experience.
• →Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• →Azure infrastructure experience.
• →Knowledge of enterprise AI or document management platforms.
