Position Overview
The Phlebotomist performs specimen collection and supports laboratory operations during night shift hours. This role is essential in ensuring accurate, timely testing while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Schedule: Sunday–Saturday; varies based on departmental needs
- Department: Laboratory Services
- Travel: None required
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None
- Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, finger-stick, and heel-stick collections across all patient populations
- Accurately label, process, and transport specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality during all interactions
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Assist with laboratory clerical duties and communication as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and support efficient workflow
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Training/Experience: Phlebotomy training or relevant patient care experience required
- Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Certification: CPR certification preferred

Employment Requirements
- Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
