Role Profile

We have an exciting vacancy for an Associate Scientific Director within a group of oncology accounts that cover both publications and medical affairs. The accounts span a few different oncology products for a couple of up-and-coming Biotech clients, including lung, brain and rare cancers such as neuroendocrine tumours, and novel antitumour approaches such as targeted radiopharmaceutical therapeutics.

You will be one of the scientific leads within an existing team and will use your medical communications expertise to work closely with colleagues and clients as a trusted medical communications professional, your experience writing, developing and reviewing related content within a healthcare/medcomms setting will be a critical success factor. The team supports all types of scientific publications (including data manuscripts, review articles, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations) as well as key medical affairs projects such as core slide decks, scientific narratives, congress symposia, advisory boards and all sorts of other ad hoc projects! Additionally, you may be responsible for line management, mentorship, and reviewing work of junior team members to ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout.

In our Associate Scientific Directors, we are looking for people who will be our next leaders – people who are passionate about communicating highly scientific content in an accessible and educational setting. You will partner closely with our clients to provide scientific and strategic input, as well as ensuring the scientific accuracy and highest quality of deliverables within agreed timeframes. You will also be responsible together with your Scientific Director and client services colleagues for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities and delivering new business pitches when required.

You will be confident in your decision-making abilities and highly knowledgeable about medical communications, together with a commitment to quality.
