As a Controller I, Inventory Business Control, you will help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of inventory accounting across a complex global supply chain. Working closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Planning teams, you will deliver critical financial insights that support inventory optimization, compliance, and business performance. Your work will help ASM maintain strong financial controls while enabling the technologies that power the next generation of semiconductor innovation.
Responsibilities

- →Month End Close activities: including prepare and post journal entries, conduct P&L review to ensure accuracy of inventory-related impacts, Prepare monthly reporting slides, Support BU Finance requests, Raw material, WIP, and FG reporting
- →Forecast and Financial Reporting: Consolidate and review E&O provisions, prepare reports and review with stakeholders, perform variance analysis on inventory movements
- →Controls, Compliance: Support internal and external audits related to inventory valuation, E&O reserve adequacy
- →Perform monthly inventory reconciliation between SAP system and analyze variances by reconciling Inventory Overview reports and resolve discrepancies timely.
- →Consolidate reporting in Power BI (PBI) and review with the Inventory Planning Team.
- →Monitor and manage inventory, including reconciliations and reviews with cross function teams to ensure accuracy and governance
- →Manage IA & Scrap reporting
- →Ensure proper utilization of Excess & Obsolete (E&O) provisions via journal entries
- →Consolidate data across various platforms for reporting and reconciliation.
- →Oversee cycle count and physical inventory count programs, coordinating with warehouse operations and auditors to ensure inventory accuracy and SOX compliance
- →Ensure proper accounting treatment for inventory receipts, transfers, returns, scraps, and adjustments in compliance with IFRS and company policies
- →Drive process improvements in inventory reporting, reconciliation, and controls.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Logistics, Operations) to enhance data accuracy and efficiency
- Minimum Degree in Accounting, ACCA, CPA or CMA
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost control.
- Minimum 7 years of finance/controlling experience, relevant experience in manufacturing finance roles
- Knowledge of internal controls and compliance (GRC, audit)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines during closing cycles
- Experience with SAP S4/Hana ERP system in a manufacturing context, advanced analytics tools (Power BI) and Blackline
- Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams in fast-moving, technology-driven organizations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic industry
- Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, E&O reserve methodologies, and working capital management.
