Responsibilities

Conduct market and industry research across the semiconductor and capital equipment sectors to identify sourcing trends and best practices.

Analyze internal demand data to understand business requirements and future capacity needs.

Assess supplier capabilities, market positioning, and competitive landscapes across the Contract Manufacturing category.
- →
Evaluate supplier footprints, technical capabilities, capacity, lead times, and risk factors.
- →
Benchmark leading practices in supply management, risk management, and cost management within semiconductor and related industries.
- →
Perform competitive assessments covering market share, industry focus, and supplier strengths.
- →
Conduct SWOT analyses and evaluate manufacturing partner capabilities against business requirements.
- →
Develop recommendations for dual sourcing strategies, site-level risk mitigation, and cost optimization opportunities.
- →
Create clear and compelling presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- →
Support the development of a comprehensive sourcing strategy that strengthens ASM's ability to scale and support future business growth.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with large data sets, conduct research, and present findings in a structured manner.
- Interest in supply chain management, sourcing strategy, and the semiconductor industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Previous internship, academic project, or research experience related to supply chain, procurement, operations, manufacturing, or business strategy.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, capital equipment industries, or contract manufacturing environments.
- Experience conducting market, industry, or competitive analysis.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and bring fresh perspectives to business problems.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
- Interest in understanding how supply chain decisions influence business growth, resilience, and operational performance.
