The role is responsible for maintaining a smooth outbound flow, meeting service levels, and supporting strong team performance. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and wider operations teams to ensure daily targets are achieved.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Manage daily outbound activity across B2C and B2B orders
- Ensure all orders are processed accurately and dispatched within agreed SLAs
- Prioritise workload based on business needs, including aged orders
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, packaging and presentation
- Coordinate with Customer Services and Operations on urgent or non-standard requirements
- Ensure courier compliance across all shipments
- Support timely dispatch of store replenishment orders
- Work with Warehouse Admin to ensure labels and documentation are accurate and issued on time
- Resolve operational issues including system, scanning or workflow disruptions
- Supervise outbound team activity on a day-to-day basis
- Ensure adherence to processes, standards and operational expectations
- Support workforce planning with the Warehouse Manager based on daily volumes
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Provide ongoing feedback to support performance and consistency
- Work with Production to ensure correct packing standards for new products
- Maintain and update process documentation where required
- Monitor outbound quality, accuracy and compliance standards
- Investigate errors, damages and fulfilment issues, ensuring root cause is addressed
- Identify and escalate risks to service, capacity or performance
- Support daily and weekly performance review with Warehouse Manager
- Drive reduction in errors, returns and customer issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement across outbound operations
- Follow all health, safety and operational procedures
- Provide support to the Warehouse Manager as required
- Provide cover during periods of absence when needed
- Support wider operational projects as required
- Reliable, consistent and accountable
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a calm approach under pressure
- Able to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in warehouse, logistics or supervision is beneficial but not essential
