With nearly 50 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services, Associated Ambulance is proud to be Alberta’s largest private EMS operator. We provide Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Inter-Facility Transfer Services across 22 rural and 2 metro locations throughout Alberta.

We are currently seeking a professional, energetic, and self-motivated Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team in a permanent full-time role.



Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on company vehicles, primarily ambulances (Ford E450 and Dodge Pro Master 3500)
  • Conduct government inspections on ambulances to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Assist with commissioning new vehicles for operational readiness
  • Collaborate with the Service Writer and Shop Foreman to source and order required parts
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Complete all work efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
  • Assist with additional fleet and external projects as assigned



Terms of Employment

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., plus one week of on-call duty per month
  • Compensation: $40–$45 per hour, based on experience
  • Start Date: June 1 or sooner
  • Location: NW Edmonton for now but position will be moving to Acheson, Alberta. 


Qualifications

  • Licensed Journeyman Automotive Technician certification required
  • Strong diagnostic and repair experience with complex electrical wiring systems
  • Experience with Ford trucks is preferred
  • Experience with communications equipment (2-way radios, SAT phones, AVL systems) is considered an asset
  • Emergency vehicle maintenance experience is an asset
