As a PR & Partnerships Working Student, you’ll support Atari’s local and European PR and partnership efforts in a fixed-term, part-time role of around 5–10 hours per week, with the possibility to extend the contract. You’ll help with media outreach, announcement coordination, partner research, interview coordination, and communication around our games, products, and regional activities.
You’ll work closely with the President Europe and Senior Director, Marcoms, while collaborating with internal teams across marketing, communications, publishing, partnerships, and product where needed.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support local and countrywide PR outreach across Germany and Europe, helping us build and maintain strong relationships with press, media contacts, creators, and relevant industry stakeholders.
- →Draft, coordinate, and publish announcements across LinkedIn and other relevant social platforms, including company updates, product news, partnership announcements, and press-facing communication.
- →Help distribute announcements externally to journalists, media outlets, partners, and relevant communities to increase visibility and interest around Atari Europe, Atari’s wider company activities, and selected product initiatives.
- →Identify and reach out to potential partners, PR partners, media partners, cultural institutions, gaming communities, and other relevant collaboration opportunities.
- →Coordinate PR-related activities such as interviews, press briefings, media requests, follow-ups, scheduling, and internal alignment between teams and external stakeholders.
- →Monitor and support media coverage around Atari games, products, platforms, and selected initiatives, including areas such as MobyGames, publishing activities, and potentially hardware-related projects.
- →Help prepare press materials, short briefings, outreach lists, communication summaries, and partner research to support ongoing PR and business development efforts.
- →Work closely with Atari’s President Europe and Senior Director of Sales & Marketing to support high-impact communication around Atari’s games, products, partnerships, and regional growth across Europe.
Requirements
~1 min read- Currently enrolled as a university student, ideally in communications, marketing, media studies, business, PR, journalism, or a related field.
- Advanced in your studies and ready to take ownership in a hands-on working student role.
- Based in Münster or the surrounding area, with the ability to come to the office when needed.
- First practical experience in PR, communications, marketing, journalism, social media, partnerships, or agency work, for example through an internship, student job, freelance project, or university initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
- Highly structured, organized, and reliable when managing outreach, follow-ups, coordination tasks, timelines, and communication materials.
- Able to work independently in an environment where not every process is already defined.
- Proactive in creating structure, improving workflows, and moving topics forward with limited guidance.
- Confident in researching and identifying relevant press contacts, potential partners, events, communities, and collaboration opportunities.
- Good understanding of LinkedIn and professional social media communication.
- Experience with tools such as LinkedIn, Notion, Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, CRM tools, or similar platforms.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Strong interest in gaming, entertainment, pop culture, media, and technology, with a passion for Atari’s brand, games, and history.
- Experience writing public-facing copy, such as LinkedIn posts, newsletters, blog posts, press texts, or announcements.
- Familiarity with Münster / NRW, including local media, university networks, startups, culture, or events.
- Experience in fast-moving startup/scale-up environments with big ownership
- Comfortable working with C-level stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Comfortable using AI tools for drafting, research, workflow support, and improving communication processes.
- Curious, fast-learning, low-ego, hands-on, and aligned with our core values.
Salary range: €16–18 per hour
