Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development. ## About the Role As ATB’s next Senior Manager, Third Party Risk, you will be instrumental in elevating the Third Party Risk Management Program. This role focuses on strategically managing the increasing complexity of the third-party risk landscape and aligning with evolving regulatory expectations. You will go beyond standard risk management, actively shaping the framework that ensures appropriate scale of risk management processes that enhance enterprise-wide resilience. You will lead complex initiatives and assessments, mentor other risk professionals, and serve as a high-level advisor to leadership on the evolving landscape of third party relationships. ## Accountabilities * Conducts third party risk assessments for a complex variety of high-impact third parties, translating outcomes into actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders * Influences decision-making by clearly articulating the business impact and trade-offs of proposed risk mitigation actions * Enhances the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) governance framework, including associated processes, standards and templates, ensuring alignment with industry practices and complementary enterprise functions * Demonstrates excellent problem-solving and issue resolution skills, effectively navigating challenges, identifying optimal solutions, and achieving alignment among stakeholders * Translates risk metrics and trends into strategic insights for leadership, Committee and Board reporting, moving beyond data points to illustrate ATB’s third party risk posture and resilience * Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that enhance the overall maturity and efficiency of third party risk management and drives resilience across the entire organization * Contributes to strategic planning for Third Party Risk Management, specifically identifying opportunities that improve risk management and governance across the end-to-end lifecycle * Proactively identifies and implements technology driven solutions, such as data analysis tools and safe and governed applications of GenAI, to solve operational challenges and drive efficiency and quality * Mentors risk professionals and influence senior stakeholders through logical reasoning and business impact analysis ## Knowledge, Skills and Experience * 7+ years of experience in a strategic role within risk management, vendor management, or a related function focused on business enablement and strategic advisory * Experience with the third-party (vendor/supplier) lifecycle, including working knowledge of contracting and/or vendor management * A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management, Accounting, or a related field, with a focus on supply chain or risk management * Working knowledge of the banking/financial services industry is an asset * Specialization in Third Party Risk Management (e.g., C3PRMP) is preferred ## Additional Information * This is a temporary 13 month term opportunity. * This position has a hybrid work arrangement.
