- Assist in designing and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Compile and analyze operational, test and research data to establish Acceptance Test Standard for newly designed or modified equipment.
- →Prepare or direct preparation of product and system layout, schematics, and detail drawings.
- →Design electrical equipment using digital, analog and microprocessor based electronic components for military and commercial environments.
- →Assisting with schematic creation, wire run lists, and familiarity with various electronic and electrical components including mounting methods, heat sinking and location on printed circuit boards.
- →Coordinate and perform as necessary operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- →Coordinate with Manufacturing when building prototypes.
- →Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- →Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
- Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
- Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.
- Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
- Cooperate with Auditors.
- Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
- Currently pursing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, and/or Computer Engineering.
- Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to work with electrical equipment.
- Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
