The Residential Treatment Supervisor for Hope House on Crotona Park (HHCP) is responsible for the direct supervision and support of floor counselors and for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented residential services to justice-involved individuals living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and charged with felony-level crimes. The Residential Supervisor reports directly to the Program Director and plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic and structured residential environment consistent with the modified therapeutic community model of Hope House.
The Residential Treatment Supervisor ensures that all residential services are delivered in accordance with the client’s treatment plan, HHCP policies and procedures, and the conditions of the Court-approved plea agreement. The Residential Supervisor is a licensed clinician (LCSW, or equivalent qualified mental health professional) with supervisory experience who provides clinical guidance and leadership to the residential team. This supervision includes supporting staff in identifying, documenting and responding to client symptomology, conducting risk assessments and crisis interventions, and assuming direct clinical roles when necessary.
The Residential Supervisor also serves as a key liaison with HHCP’s Article 31 clinical partner, coordinating closely with their team to ensure residents receive integrated, high-quality care. This collaboration includes facilitating communication regarding treatment planning, clinical recommendations, medication management and emerging behavioral health concerns to promote continuity of care and the best possible outcomes for residents.
The essential functions of the job include:
- Providing direct clinical and administrative supervision to residential staff.
- Maintaining a visible and supportive presence on the residential floors.
- Ensuring compliance with all Hope House, OMH and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrating reliability, regular attendance and dependability.
