→Patrol the campus and buildings on foot and/or in a vehicle in order to deter crime, provide safety, security and assistance to students, staff and visitors on campus.
→Enforce traffic and parking regulations.
→Investigate disturbances, suspicious circumstances, traffic accidents or violation of college regulations when prompted by phone calls, alarms, citizens' requests, or officers' observations.
→Talk with individuals to determine causes of disturbances or accidents.
→Take reports and accurately complete forms to record incidents.
→Direct traffic at campus events using barricades, traffic cones, traffic vests, and flashlights.
→Must be familiar with the campus safety manual and be able to address emergencies on campus.
→Participate in training activities.
→Work closely with the Athens Technical College Police Chief, Police Supervisor, Campus Administrators and Security Officers.
→Perform related work as assigned.
