team and is responsible for supporting the vision, development, and execution of the Kids
Ministry program.
Required Experience & Knowledge

- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture
- Possess strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrate kindness, humility, and self-awareness in interactions with others
- A love and calling toward ministry to children and families
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
- Proven ability to problem-solve and multitask
- Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks and projects
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed
- Engage as part of a team with Athey Creek staff, always being edifying to one another
- Assist Athey Kids Coordinator with class preparation and management
- Support all aspects of the kids ministry experience under the direction of the Kids Ministry Director
- Assist with administrative tasks, organizational tasks and meeting other needs of the ministry
- Welcome and assist new families with check-in, policies, and questions
- Keep classroom inventory organized and well-stocked between services
- Assist in organizing and cleaning of all spaces and equipment in the children’s area
- Copy and prepare curriculum for all campuses, both digital and print
- Assist in classrooms as needed
- Open and close all kids classrooms for every service
- Assist with campus-wide events (Harvest party, VBS, etc.) that fall outside regular program hours
- Build positive, supportive, and professional relationships with families
- All other duties as assigned
