The VP of Training and Development will design and lead a comprehensive training strategy across the full spectrum of financial services operations. This role is responsible for assessing organizational capability gaps, identifying skill trends, and building a scalable training curriculum that supports team development, new hire onboarding, systems adoption, regulatory requirements and continuous performance improvement. The VP will partner cross-functionally to ensure operational teams are equipped with the technical expertise, systems proficiency, and emerging tool capabilities—including AI-enabled solutions—required to support a modern, high-performing lending platform.

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services operations, structured credit, asset-backed finance, or commercial lending
  • Proven experience building and leading enterprise-wide training or capability development programs
  • Strong knowledge of loan lifecycle processes, loan management systems, and operational risk frameworks
  • Ability to translate technical systems, data, automation, and AI tools into practical training
  • Experience supporting system implementations and operational transformation initiatives
  • Strong executive communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience developing structured onboarding programs and competency frameworks preferred

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of ProMerit, ACBS (CLS) or similar industry loan/lending management (LIQ, AFS) platforms are a plus
  • Experience implementing Learning tool or digital training platforms
  • Proficient in PowerPoint as well as other training design tools such as Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms

 

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
