We’re looking for Survey Crew Chiefs who thrive in the field, lead with confidence, and take pride in precision. These roles are centered on land development, power, and renewable energy projects, giving you the opportunity to work on everything from expansive solar fields to complex construction staking for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead field operations on large boundary surveys, renewable energy sites, and land development projects, ensuring quality and precision from start to finish
- →Perform construction staking for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments—setting the groundwork for successful builds
- →Set control, run layout, and deliver accurate data for topographic, boundary, and as-built surveys
- →Operate and maintain Trimble equipment (GPS, total stations, data collectors) with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- →Start your day from your company vehicle, heading directly to project sites that challenge and reward your expertise
- →Review, verify, and fine-tune field data—because precision isn’t optional
- →Maintain clear, thorough field notes to ensure seamless coordination with office and CAD teams
- →Work independently or lead a small crew, taking full ownership of your projects
- →Mentor junior staff—sharing your knowledge, experience, and commitment to doing things the right way
- →Participate in training, industry conferences, and development opportunities to keep your skills sharp
- 7+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief
- Strong experience with large boundary surveys and power/renewable energy projects
- Proven background in construction staking and land development (residential, commercial, mixed-use)
- Expertise using Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, plats, and survey data with confidence
- Strong communication and leadership skills—keeping your crew aligned and projects on track
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering accurate, reliable work
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for large-scale or specialized projects
