Responsibilities
~1 min readThe Brand Coordinator - Japan will collaborate with a world-class team and network of industry partners to develop and implement a strategy to grow our lifestyle and entertainment revenues, as well as generate awareness, relevancy and growth for Authentic in Japan. If you are a creative, strategic, seasoned Business Manager with licensing business development and marketing experience, we’d like to meet you!
- Manage business processes that align with business strategies, planning, and vision.
- Maintain records for tracking and reporting systems to streamline processes.
- Assist in tracking new licensing agreements and financials related to the Japan market.
- Serve as support for special projects as assigned. Maintain internal policies and procedures for administrative activities. Implement work plans and initiatives.
- Support the creation and management of budget projections, analyzing revenue, and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify business opportunities and develop and implement solutions.
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, Marketing, PR, and other teams on cross-functional initiatives to drive Japan strategy and operations.
- Gather and analyze information from cross-functional teams to identify Japan specific opportunities
- Participate in business strategy discussions with cross-functional leadership in setting Japan specific plans.
- Research and analyze business data for accuracy, trends, and variances to maximize business potential.
- Engage, inspire and galvanize the organization through operational and strategic projects that help drive business for the Japan based team.
- Assist in overseeing the direction, implementation, execution and continuous improvement of the licensing process.
- Localize materials – using local market knowledge and experience, translate corporate communications, brand PR and other materials either from Japanese to English, or from English to Japanese as the use case may require
Requirements
~1 min read- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with brand and business teams to develop and execute against measurable goals
- Strong mindset for understanding the Japan licensing business landscape
- Experience managing external partners, including licenses and agencies
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in licensing, business development or marketing
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Must be flexible to the needs of a global enterprise, including availability outside of regular working hours
- Business level proficiency in both Japanese and English
