ABOUT THE ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Autocab C# Software Engineer you’ll be working as part of a team of highly skilled and motivated people modernizing a business-critical .NET Framework monolith, migrating it to a modular, cloud-first, modern .NET application.

Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will be surrounded and supported by experienced people who are passionate about Software Development.

You will be part of our Agile Development process including (but not limited to) Backlog Prioritisation, Estimation, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives. Using Jira tickets that are assigned to you in Sprint Planning you will test your work thoroughly before handing it on to the testers in your team. We strive to find the correct balance between speed and quality, and you will both support and be supported by other members of the team and the department. Most importantly you will develop securely ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our customer’s systems and data.


REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A sound understanding of best development practices, especially around process communication, concurrency, security and automation.
  • Strong spoken and written English language
  • A willingness to contribute to continual improvement efforts within the team.
  • Solid C# experience, ideally gained in both .NET Framework and current .NET.


DESIRABLE

  • Experience in Microsoft Azure.
  • Good experience in data modelling, schema design and optimisation.
  • You should be comfortable working in an agile development environment.
  • A strong understanding of software transformation patterns and an ability to define clear domain boundaries.

  • 9am - 5pm, Monday – Friday
  • Hybrid working model – our collab days are Wednesdays, Thursdays and alternate Tuesdays
