We’re looking for a Digital Print Operator. We really do encourage everyone to proactively step outside of their job description if they see something that could be improved but the core of your role will involve:

  • Take ownership of digital print production across UV flatbed printers, Epson inkjet printers, and Canon toner printers. Operate, monitor, and maintain digital printing machinery to ensure consistent print quality, maximum equipment uptime, and efficient workflow management. Produce printed work to the required specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.

  • Support the production of films for hybrid print and silkscreen processes.

  • Carry out routine maintenance, calibration, and preventative servicing of digital print equipment to minimise downtime and maintain optimal performance. Independently diagnose and resolve common technical, mechanical, and production issues.

  • Prepare and organise media for digital print production in a methodical, efficient, and production-focused manner.

  • Accurately set up print jobs, ensuring the correct media, colour profiles, print settings, and production parameters are applied.

  • Prepare, review, and support artwork files for digital print and selected hybrid print projects.

  • Profile new and existing media using appropriate colour management tools and workflows, ensuring profiles are validated and maintained to production standards. Utilise industry-standard software, including Wasatch, ONYX RIP, and Prisma, for print setup, colour management, texture build-up, and workflow control.

  • Ensure all files are production-ready, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the print process.

  • Manage multiple production workflows simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and meeting agreed deadlines. Prioritise workloads effectively to achieve daily production targets and delivery schedules.

  • Monitor production output and proactively address issues that may impact quality, efficiency, or delivery timelines.

  • Communicate and escalate production risks, equipment issues, or potential delays in a timely manner. Collaborate closely with Make-Ready leads, artworkers, printmakers, and finishers to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times. Ensure the digital printing areas are kept tidy, operational, and production-ready.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of studio processes, workflows, and operational best practices.

  • 1-2 years experience operating digital print equipment

  • Strong understanding of colour management, media profiling, and print production workflows.
