We are actively seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Education & Academic Operations to lead and oversee academic programs, faculty development, curriculum compliance, and instructional quality. This role is responsible for ensuring all educational operations align with Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) standards, state education regulations, institutional policies, and higher education best practices.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic educational leader with expertise in curriculum management, faculty coaching, accreditation compliance, instructional effectiveness, workforce development, and continuous institutional improvement within higher education, postsecondary, vocational, technical, or career education environments.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Education & Academic Operations will collaborate closely with campus leadership, corporate academic teams, program coordinators, and faculty to promote academic excellence, student retention, accreditation readiness, operational effectiveness, and student success outcomes across all educational programs.
This role oversees instructional quality initiatives and supports faculty performance, professional development, and continuous improvement efforts throughout the campus.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Serve as the primary liaison between the campus and corporate education leadership teams.
- Ensure all instructional practices, faculty training, and academic operations comply with ACCSC standards, state regulations, and institutional policies.
- Audit academic programs, curricula, lesson plans, syllabi, and instructional materials to ensure instructors are utilizing the most current approved resources.
- Support institutional readiness for accreditation reviews, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Lead faculty onboarding and instructor training in accordance with ACCSC and institutional standards.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to instructors.
- Facilitate ongoing professional development and instructional improvement initiatives for faculty and educational staff.
- Serve as a substitute instructor when operationally necessary.
- Create, maintain, and monitor Faculty Personnel Reports (FPRs) for all instructors.
- Conduct and document instructor performance audits and evaluations at least semi-annually.
- Track educational outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Chair Program Coordinator meetings and ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of meeting minutes.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings.
- Ensure PAC meeting documentation is properly maintained and distributed to corporate academic leadership and regional leadership teams.
- Collaborate with campus leadership to support student achievement, retention, and instructional quality initiatives.

Requirements

- 5+ years of management experience or proven leadership in a relevant role, demonstrating a track record of effectively guiding teams, driving performance, and achieving organizational goals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Demonstrated expertise in resolving conflicts, fostering positive workplace relationships, and collaborating effectively within teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable individual contributor with effective leadership skills; adept at balancing diplomacy and assertiveness to guide teams and manage diverse situations.
- Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required to meet organizational needs and support operational demands.
Requirements

- Airframe and Powerplant License
- Teaching or instructional experience in higher education or career education
- Experience working in private, career-focused, or for-profit postsecondary education environments
- Familiarity with ACCSC accreditation standards
- Experience with CampusVue and SharePoint systems
Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm EST
Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST
This is a full-time onsite leadership position requiring flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support campus and academic operations.
