Avid4 Adventure is seeking someone to help us with transporting our campers for our Summer Programs! We are seeking drivers to start as soon as possible but no later than July 5!

  • Start Date: Can begin immediately, but must start no later than July 5

  • Position Duration: Will continue until Programs end on August 7

  • Compensation: Pay is set at $23/hour

  • Work Schedule: Between 15 - 38 hours a week

    • Part-time: This role can expect to work a minimum of two days a week (Monday through Friday) approximately 7-8 hours a day. The exact days out of the week are negotiable, but must be consistent for the duration of the summer.

    • Full-time: For candidates with personal and/or professional experience with our programs, you may be considered for a full-time instructor position with our team! Instructors work approximately 34-38 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

  • Responsible for transporting groups of campers to and from our Oakland Headquarters to our Rock Climbing location in Berkeley

  • Will drive our campers plus a fellow instructor in one of our 15-person passenger vans

  • Will be responsible for providing some camper oversight, support, and encouragement.

  • You are a role model for our campers; you will demonstrate and guide campers in appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities

  • Encouraged to participate in additional camp-related responsibilities such as co-leading or programs, supporting program gear set up and take down, inventory, operations, registrations, and more!

  • Must be at least 20 years of age, 3-year valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record. Due to California regulations, in order to drive our 15-passenger vans, staff must either possess a CDL or non-CA based drivers license.

  • +1 years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred

  • Minimum of Basic First Aid, CPR, and Mandatory Reporter certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done!!)

  • As a childcare licensed facility, all staff must pass a criminal background check including criminal background check, fingerprinting, and motor vehicle check

  • All hires must submit three references (personal and/or professional)
