The Manager, Manufacturing Scheduling is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing detailed production schedules for Upstream and Downstream biologics manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure production plans are achievable, resource-aligned, and executed efficiently. The Manufacturing Scheduling Manager plays a critical role in balancing demand, capacity, equipment availability, and personnel constraints to support safe, compliant, and on-time manufacturing execution
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed, executable production schedules for Upstream and Downstream manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate manufacturing plans with supervisors, managers, and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on manpower, equipment, materials, and suite availability.
- Adjust schedules in real time in response to deviations, equipment downtime, material constraints, or changing business priorities.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Materials Management to align production schedules with material availability and inventory strategies.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Facilities, Validation, and Metrology to schedule equipment preventive maintenance, calibrations, and qualification activities.
- Support manufacturing campaign planning and handoffs between Upstream and Downstream operations.
- Participate in daily production meetings, schedule reviews, and capacity planning discussions.
- Identify scheduling conflicts and proactively escalate risks and constraints to Manufacturing leadership.
- Analyze production performance, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate scheduling data and models using approved planning tools and systems.
- Support short-term and long-term manufacturing planning activities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, operations management, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, or scheduling within a pharmaceutical or biologics manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Upstream and Downstream biologics manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining detailed manufacturing schedules.
- Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and their impact on production planning and execution.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with scheduling and planning tools (e.g., Excel-based models, ERP or scheduling systems).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, on-site position. Days of work are typically Monday through Friday; however, flexibility to support off-hours, weekends, or critical manufacturing milestones may be required based on operational needs.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
The compensation range for this role is $99,200 - $124,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.

This position operates in an office and manufacturing environment. The role may require time spent in production areas with exposure to typical manufacturing conditions including noise, equipment, and gowning requirements.
