Your Role:
The Senior Director, Commercial Excellence, Strategy & Insights serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for building and scaling the commercial operating infrastructure required to support profitable growth across the organization. This role leads commercial analytics, business insights, competitive intelligence, commercial processes and performance visibility across the organization. This position acts as the commercial “center of excellence” integrating market intelligence, pipeline analytics, Salesforce governance and performance management to improve commercial effectiveness.

Your Role:

This role leads commercial analytics, business insights, competitive intelligence, commercial processes and performance visibility across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial strategy support & business planning
- Competitive intelligence and market insights
- KPI dashboard development and executive/ Board level reporting
- Commercial process development, optimization and governance
- Salesforce systems and commercial reporting infrastructure
- Development of customer engagement framework and customer playbook
- Commercial performance tracking
- Customer segmentation and customer analysis
- Creation of tools to support key account management and stakeholder mapping
- Cross functional coordination with operations, finance, program management and marketing
- Supervisory responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a Master’s in Business Administration preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in biopharma, biologics, CDMO, life sciences or related healthcare industry.
- Significant experience in commercial excellence, commercial operation, business analytics, strategy or business insights function.
- Experience supporting commercial organization within a high growth, complex or matrixed environment.
- Prior experience working closely with executive leadership teams and supporting Board-level reporting
- Strong understanding of biologics, pharmaceutical services, CDMO operations, or life sciences commercialization processes
- Experience developing commercial strategies, customer segmentation models and business performance frameworks
- Ability to translate market trends and competitive intelligence into actionable business recommendations
- Experience supporting strategic planning and growth initiatives
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into executive level insights
- Strong understanding of CRM (Salesforce) systems, reporting tools, and commercial data infrastructure.
- Experience implementing commercial best practices, process optimization and sales enablement initiatives.
- Ability to drive organizational alignment and accountability through structured reporting and operating cadence.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a scaling organization.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm PST unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. The employee must also have the ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
The compensation range for this role is $230,400 - $288,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
In this dynamic role, expect a blend of regular activities like sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional physically engaging tasks such as lifting objects up to 25 pounds. The work environment might expose you to electrical shocks, toxic chemicals, vibrations, or loud noise levels occasionally. However, reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with different abilities to perform effectively, ensuring a supportive and adaptable work setting. Your visual acuity, including close, distance, and color vision, will be essential in navigating through the diverse day-to-day demands of this position.
