AXS is thrilled to be expanding its operations in our Tokyo office. This move comes as our company continues to grow its global footprint. In Japan, AXS Tickets functions as the operating company, while AXS Japan focuses on development and corporate functions.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the business and provide insight into Company strategy
- →Create AXS Japan budget and forecasting as required by Managing Director
- →Promote the business interests of AXS offices, whilst keeping within local and regional guidelines and legislation
- →Responsible for consolidation and audits, including working closely with internal and external advisors to ensure full compliance and timely tax and statutory filings.
- →Responsible for ensuring alignment with the Global Finance teams. Working closely with the VP Finance - APAC and ensuring best global financial practice.
- →Coordinate corporate finance and manage Company policies including overall responsibility for treasury management, particularly robust control over our client related cashflows and settlements.
- →Lead and coordinate the annual budget and monthly re-forecasts process
- →Work closely with other departments to help plan and manage budgets throughout the year
- →Produce timely, accurate monthly management accounts
- →Maintain and improve systems and processes within the team and the Company to ensure strong and appropriate levels of financial control and risk management.
- →Ensure all accounts payable, receivable, expenses, fraud and payroll systems are operating effectively and in line with Company requirements.
- →Manage the Company’s treasury function, assessing implications of business transactionsand manage banking relationships with our advisors and partners as required.
- →Monitor cashflow, always ensuring there are enough funds for anticipated payments, including client settlements.
- →Ensure compliance with all relevant external reporting requirements and timetables including Corporation Tax, Consumption Tax, and statutory accounting.
- →Contribute fully to the development of the Company strategy across all areas of the European business, challenging assumptions, and decision-making as appropriate
- →Manage the monthly payroll process to ensure that everyone is paid accurately and on time.
- →Travel as may be required by the business
Requirements
~1 min read- CPA(Japan), CPA(US), ACA or CIMA preferred
- SME desirable
- Excellent strategic and analytical thinking
- Evidence of leading and managing a team
- Evidence of operating at both strategic and operational levels
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Ability to form close working relationships with senior management
- Self-motivated and ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making
- Ability to work with multiple currencies and cultures across regions
- Experience within fast paced growing environment
- Experience with JD Edwards desirable
- Languages: Native Japanese level speaker along with conversational English ability
