As a Jr. Financial Analyst, your primary responsibility is to provide support through analysis and insights into the results, budgets and forecast of the various business units as well as supporting Accounting & Finance initiatives. Working collaboratively with various departments, the chosen candidate is analytical and resourceful.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Actively participate in preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts and results on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- →Analyze financial performance of various business units and summarize findings.
- →Collect, review and analyze data to detect trends and extrapolate impacts.
- →Prepare and maintain the various files and models required for the budgets and projections.
- →Regularly engage with counterparts and stakeholders to be updated on business activities and initiatives.
- →Support process improvement initiatives, ensuring process changes are appropriately implanted and documented.
- →Prepare and maintain reports required by the Accounting Team for financial close on a monthly basis.
- →Provide support as required for ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (Finance or Accounting specialization a must)
- 1-2 years of experience of related work experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and build relationships with people at all levels.
- Excellent time management and ability to work concurrently on multiple priorities.
- Analytical mind and attention to detail; comfortable working with large data sets while still being able to extract key insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Knowledge of PowerBi, Looker and other analytic tools considered an asset.
- Knowledge of SQL considered an asset.
