JOB SUMMARY:

The Junior Business Analyst is a key member of team BAC. This role supports business process improvement, data analytics, reporting, and technology initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. The Junior Business Analyst assists with gathering business requirements, documenting processes, analyzing data, maintaining reports and dashboards, and supporting the implementation of technology solutions and workflow automation efforts.

Working under the guidance of senior team members and organizational leaders, this position collaborates with stakeholders across departments to support the identification of improvement opportunities, assist with analysis of operational issues, and contribute to data-driven decision-making. The Junior Business Analyst contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by providing analytical support, coordinating project activities, and helping maintain documentation and training materials. Work is performed under general supervision with increasing independence as knowledge and skills develop. Complex issues and strategic decisions are escalated appropriately. This role serves as a developmental position with opportunities to grow in business analysis, process improvement, project management, and technology solution design.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support cross-functional process improvement projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles to identify inefficiencies, reduce administrative burden, and improve workflow effectiveness.
  • Assist in coordinating stakeholder input and project activities to support positive business outcomes.
  • Assist in analyzing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, waste reduction, and operational improvement.
  • Support leadership by gathering, organizing, and analyzing data to help inform project priorities and decision-making.
  • Create, maintain, and update dashboards, reports, KPI tracking tools, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Assist with the design, maintenance, and documentation of databases, data structures, and reporting solutions that support business requirements.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and implementation activities for process improvement and technology initiatives.
  • Assist with configuration, testing, documentation, and ongoing support of reporting tools, workflow automation solutions, and business applications.
  • Contribute to the development, documentation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures that support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support the development and delivery of training materials, user guides, and training sessions to assist teams with adopting new processes and technologies.
  • Support ad hoc analysis, reporting requests, data collection efforts, and special projects on an as-needed basis.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • One (1) year of experience with data analytics, business analysis, business intelligence, process improvement, or a related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience may suffice for the above requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • Experience creating reports or data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or another reporting tool.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and presenting information clearly.
  • Must be available to attend occasional conferences and evening/weekend events.
  • Valid Driver License with clean driving record.
  • Must satisfy Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level 2 background screening requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience documenting business processes, workflows, or standard operating procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Experience supporting reporting in ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other business systems.
  • In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and analyze information to support problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and update reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Ability to track, monitor, and report on operational metrics and performance indicators.
  • Ability to understand and apply basic data management principles, reporting practices, and business process concepts.
  • Ability to assist in the development and maintenance of operational metrics, reports, and dashboards for management and leadership use.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate information, identify issues, and present potential solutions for consideration.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, software applications, business systems, and organizational processes.
  • Ability to correctly interpret and apply all applicable BAC policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with employees across departments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive business information.

TRAVEL:

  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE):

  • Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position works primarily in an office setting. Tasks may involve extended periods of time sitting at a workstation and utilizing a keyboard. This position may have some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds). Occasionally involves some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, or standing. These activities can be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.

Availability: Full Time

Salary: Starting at $40,000/Salary
