We are looking for a Cloud Accounting Manager to join our team. The Cloud Accounting Manager oversees cloud‑based accounting services by managing client relationships, leading teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving efficient use of accounting technology and systems. Your role:

Your primary responsibilities will include 

  • Managing, mentoring and training of Junior and Senior Cloud Bookkeepers including review of work
  • Developing and implementing cloud bookkeeping workflows for the firm
  • Allocating bookkeeping work to appropriate team members
  • Preparing client bookkeeping and training quotes and proposals
  • Onboarding and training clients on cloud accounting programs and apps
  • Utilizing cloud accounting platforms, such as QBO, Xero & Dext to record and manage client data efficiently on monthly, quarterly or annual basis as required, including completion of relevant tax filings
  • Generating standardized and customized client financial reporting packages as appropriate
  • Filing of GST returns and processing of client payroll
  • Maintaining strict data security protocols to ensure confidentiality and integrity of client financial information
  • Staying up to date with latest features and functionalities of cloud-based accounting tools
  • Identifying opportunities for automation within accounting processes, streamlining repetitive tasks and integrating cloud systems with other business applications
  • Managing client relationships including professional communication with clients to ensure accurate, timely and complete reporting


What you bring to the table:

  • Diploma or equivalent in accounting, business or related field  required
  • 5+ years of full cycle public accounting experience required
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively to resolve client issues and close sales

The Cloud Accounting Manager position may be performed in-office with a flexible arrangement available for the right candidate.  This position is primarily computer-based and involves extended periods of desk work.  Occasional travel for meetings, team collaboration or training may be required.
