Job Summary:
Technical and operational support for all manufacturing processes related to computer or automation equipment, in particular Servo and Engraving equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Be an expert in the use of spell/cam software systems and in everything related to the spell/cam work cell equipment
- Monitor, test and troubleshoot spell/cam automation cells (computers, peripherals, CNC machines and ergonomics)
- Support and troubleshooting of spell/cam parameters for different styles
- Test and confirm that changes to the work cell software were applied correctly
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade the hardware and software of the spell/cam cells, engraving servomechanisms and desktop devices
- Support and maintenance to user requirements, including troubleshooting and operator IT training
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of the cell configuration as well as its security and IT infrastructure
- Work with a team of people to automate tasks, improve processes, and develop management standards as required
- Work closely with the spell/cam system manager at the corporate level
- Work closely with other technical departments
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude as well as appropriate behavior within the facility
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Advanced Visual Programming Languages (Python, Perl, C++), Web, Scripts and Macros
- Desktops and peripherals support troubleshooting.
- Windows Server and Linux OS
- Windows and MS Office suites knowledge
- Detail oriented
Education/Experience:
- Computer Engineering (Technical Support or Programming), Mechatronics (Automation) technician.
- 2+ years as a Computer Support Technician (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
