We are looking for a reliable, friendly Deli Clerk to join our team at Hen House. In this role, you'll prepare and serve fresh deli products while creating a welcoming, efficient, and engaging service experience-helping guests find exactly what they need while supporting department sales and building loyalty.

Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visits
- →Prepare, slice, and package deli meats and cheeses to order while following proper food safety and equipment handling procedures
- →Prepare, cook, and stock deli items such as rotisserie chicken, salads, hot bar items, and grab-and-go meals according to quality and production standards
- →Maintain product freshness, labeling, and visual merchandising standards in deli cases and displays
- →Engage with guests to answer questions, provide recommendations, and offer meal solutions
- →Develop and maintain knowledge of deli and store products, including features, pricing, and location
- →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to promote health, safety, and a professional appearance
- →Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene guidelines to ensure compliance and guest safety
- →Operate deli equipment (slicers, scales, packaging tools) and POS systems accurately
- →Stock, rotate, and face products using FIFO methods to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- →Monitor inventory levels and report low, excess, or damaged items to leadership
- →Communicate clearly with teammates and collaborate across departments to support storewide efficiency and guest satisfaction
- →Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, conduct, and dress code standards
- →Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following proper procedures
- →Assist with cleaning, restocking, and supporting other departments as needed
- →Remain productive during slower periods by maintaining department readiness and preparing products
- →Other job duties as assigned
